Web Hosting - Your Email Boxes
Most of web hosting service provides email boxes with the hosted domain as address i.e. mailbox@yourdomain.com. Along with the email boxes, access to webmail and POP3/SMTP mail are also normally provided. The number of email boxes given to clients depends on the web space plan purchased as the email boxes storage capacity is included in the total web space plan.
If you plan to assign large number of email boxes for your company staff, there is always possibility that the total email storage capacity exceeds the web space plan. Choosing even bigger web space capacity (thus paying larger plan and bandwidth) may not be economically justifiable. A more realistic solution in this case is to buy separate email hosting from the same host if they provide one, or by buying email hosting service from other provider. However this solution will necessitates you to have access to DNS control of your domain because you have to modify the MX record entry in order to be able to use external mail server(s) for your domain. Another much cheaper solution is by creating email boxes for selected few of your staff and use email forwarding facilities normaly provided along with the web hosting to redirect someone@yourdomain.com to an existing email boxes of the person (for example to Yahoo, Gmail email accounts, etc).
